Let’s Plan Out Your 2021 (for Success!)

Planning 2021

2021 Planning Resources mentioned in this episode:

Listen to the episode:

We are coming to the end of 2020, the craziest year that I have ever lived. And now we are looking forward to 2021. Who knows what it will bring. But regardless of the external elements that we cannot control, it is still so important to plan what happens inside your business.

I’ve always been a go with the flow kind of gal, but not planning in early 2020, totally fucked me over. And I ended up getting myself into this total over-scheduled mess that literally was only relieved by the current circumstances.

So I’m going to take you through a very simple exercise to get you set up to plan for next year. Be sure to get my 2021 Planning Workbook to follow along.

2021 Planning: What went well in 2020

This should be a complete brain dump of everything that went well this past year. This can include everything from big things like successful launches to smaller things like personal development hurdles you overcame.

2021 Planning: What didn’t work in 2020

It’s really good to look at the things that didn’t work so we can figure out how to fix those things for next time.

So do a brain dump list of all the things that you didn’t like and come up with a plan on how you were going to shift those things or do things differently. A true skill of a seasoned entrepreneur is to be able to pivot and switch things up and be resourceful.

2021 Planning: What do you want your day to look like in 2021

This is typically really difficult for people to answer because a lot of us have no idea what the we want our day to look like. But if you’re going to manifest a business that you love, then you got to know what your day-to-day looks like.

I’ll give you an example of what I want my ideal day to look like. In the winter, I want to get first track on the skihill. So that means that I don’t want to be working in the morning. It’s important to me that I get my morning self-care routine in before hitting the slopes or the trails. Then I’ll start my day around 12pm.

Other things to consider and plan for in 2021 are all outlined in my workbook. These things include:

  • What will your primary offerings be

  • Scheduling in time for continuing education

  • Determining your top 5 values to focus on

  • Figuring out which opportunities to say yes to

I hope that helps you feel a little bit more clear on what your amazing 2021 is to look like. Be sure to download my 2021 Planning Workbook to stay on track on making 2021 a success!
