There are 3 things that we need to consider when we are thinking about setting ourselves apart from all the other noise on social media.
Number one is leadership.
Number two is personality.
Number three is integrity.
If you can dial in those three things, then you will very much set yourself apart from the crowd.
What a lot of coaches and new business owners don’t realize is that when they come online to start a business, they need to step into that leadership role. People want more than just helpful content. They are looking to follow someone who inspires them, pushes them, and shifts them into a place they want to be in.
A leader is someone who is authentically themselves and who stands up for what they believe in. Leaders are very connected to their values, being a leader doesn’t mean that you’re in a position of authority or power. True leaders support each other and collaborate.
Leaders also are their authentic selves. Remember, that your brand is you. So part of standing out from the crowd is showing your personality.
Leaders also have integrity, but integrity is staying true to who you are. Not hopping on trends that don’t feel aligned, showing up consistently and serving your people consistently.
If you think of the people who stand out to you online, you will notice they have all those three qualities. They have something about their personality that you connect with, that you find interesting. They are leaders. You look up to them. They’re also standing in their integrity, and they’re consistent. They’re always there.
