Create 4 Weeks Of Content In 2 Days

I am very excited to hang out with you. If you are returning, welcome back. If you are brand new, I am here to help you blow up your business. I want to talk about batching content. You may or may not have heard of batching before, but there is a good chance that it is going to change your world. Oftentimes when coaches come into Health Coach Accelerator, they are making content week by week or even day by day.

That is difficult for them because creative power is something that we do not have all the time. When we are relying it on the day to day and when we are in the grind of all the things that we need to do each and every day, usually what happens is we go to create content, we got nothing in our brain and it can feel exhausting. Speaking of Health Coach Accelerator, it is my signature course and group coaching program that helps you build the framework for a six-figure coaching business.

Students of Health Coach Accelerator come in and we help you build that solid foundation. We help you get your clear messaging, meaning that we teach you how to communicate your message and your vision to the world and to the people who you want to help in a way that makes sense for them so that they know that you can help them.

We help you develop your marketing strategy and sales strategy. The sales that we do inside Health Coach Accelerator is incredibly powerful. It will never make you feel pushy, slimy or salesy. We teach you how to gain visibility to get your face and name out there to the world so you can start building a following and start converting those into paying clients.

We have amazing success with our students. Typically if they put in the work, they will have their six-figure business within the year. We do have some students doing $10,000 months before they finish the program. For other people, it takes a little bit longer but this is a framework that you can customize to your business. All you need to do by the end of the 90 days is execute it and put it out into the world.

If you are interested in being a student of Health Coach Accelerator, you are an online coach in the health and wellness or personal development space and you want to build a six-figure business and start making $10,000 a month without having to juggle hundreds of clients or sacrifice your freedom or your family time, then I invite you to join. Let us dive into this episode’s topic, batching content and how to create 4 weeks’ worth of content in only 2 days. If you get good at this, there is a good chance that you can do it in one day. I create a fair amount of content and only work on content, typically two-ish days, every single month. That works well for me because I know that I do not have creative power every day, especially when there is a lot of things going on in between things.

For example, if I have a meeting with my team and then I go into a show interview and maybe I have an hour in between that, I can’t usually muster up the creative power to come up with an interesting piece of content that is going to serve my audience. What I like to do is I like to block two entire days where I wake up early, have a nice breakfast, a nice cup of decaf coffee and go into the zone. That is all I have been working on in those two days, no appointments, no coaching calls, nothing. Batching is creating all the content for the month in two days. This can work well because then, once you are done, you do not have to create any more content for the month.

You can focus on supporting your clients, answering the comments that you receive on social media, doing your admin stuff or whatever it is that you have to do. What I do to set this up is I time block out two days in my calendar every single month. I make it a recurring event inside my Google calendar. Sometimes I switch it slightly because I like to ski. If I notice that there is going to be a bunch of snow on a day where I am going to do content, I might move that event. It will always get done within the week that I allotted it.

Content: It’s natural that some don’t have creative power each and every day, especially when there are a lot of things going on.

The best way to do this is to be prepared. You do not want to sit down with nothing in front of you and then be coming up with the plan on the spot. Here are some ways that you can set yourself up so that you can make that much content in only two days. The first thing is to have templates. You can use the graphic design software called Canva. It is very easy to use and you can create a beautiful design with it. If you look at my Instagram content, that is all created within Canva. What you can do is create templates.

Every time that you go to design content, you do not need to reinvent the wheel and make a new design every time, having a consistent look using the same colors or shapes will help create consistency in your content and will also help people know when the content comes down their feed that it is yours without seeing your name. An example, on Instagram, a lot of people are using carousel posts. Carousel posts are those posts that come down the feed, you swipe left and you go through up to ten different slides.

Let us say you want to use those inside your business. Do not create a new design each time because that is going to be a lot. Why not spend some time sitting down and making 5 to 7 up to 10 templates that you rotate through? You use one template and then next time, you go to the next one and for the next post, you go to the next one. Once you get to the bottom, you start over. There is a cool feature inside Canva called Styles. When you are inside editing your design, as long as you have your brand colors stored in your Canva brand kit, that is an option on the left menu when you go into Canva.

You do need a pro account for that, which you need. The pro account is going to help you save a lot of time and give you a lot more functionality within the platform. Upload your colors into your brand kit. Once you are editing a design, you can hit Styles. There is a little shuffle button and it will randomly shuffle through colors. Let us say you created a template, you are coming back around and you want to use different colors. It will switch up and shuffle the colors around. Essentially you are using the same template, click on the button and it looks a little bit different because you were using different colors.

That is great because it creates consistency in your brand but also, when you go to create carousels, you do not need to create a different design and go through the design building process. You have to do it once. 5 to 7 templates are good. I have 3 to 5, so it can even be a little bit less and rotate through them. You can also do that for quote posts and other types of graphics.

Figure out the different types of content that you are going to create. Maybe that is a mixture of carousel posts, quote posts and maybe some other types of graphics. Whatever it is, create your 5 to 7 templates for each post type and then rotate through. When it comes down to writing your content every month, you do not have to work on design because you have already created the template. You just have to switch around the colors.

The other thing is you want to make sure you have your content buckets and types planned out. Come up with a posting schedule. Figure out what days a week you are going to post to your social media feed. That is going to look different for everyone. What matters is consistency and a reminder that consistency is not equal to frequency. Consistency is consistency. Frequency is something different. This does not mean that you post every single day if that is not realistic for you. Maybe you post twice a week because you have got a full-time job, building your business on the side and all you can commit to is posting two days a week. That is great. Be consistent.

Make sure you come up with your posting plan, determine which days of the week you are going to post. Maybe you post Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Maybe Monday is a carousel post. Wednesday is a quote post. Maybe on Friday, you do a reel or some sort of short video, depending on what platform you are using. Stick with that. Do that every day. When you sit down, if we are looking at a month in advance, you are probably going to have to create 4 carousels, 4 quote posts and 4 reels or TikTok. That way, when you sit down, you are not trying to figure out, “What do I post each day? What am I doing? How does this work?”

Make sure to have a plan because that is going to save you time. If you are someone who is doing live video, I recommend it to my Health Coach Accelerator students because it is a great way to establish expertise. It is a great skill to learn how to be good on live video and a great way to engage and connect with your audience. Maybe you are planning to go live every Thursday at 2:00 PM.

Content: Every time you design content, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel and make a new one each time.

Have a plan, write your scripts in advance and figure out what you are going to cover on each live, whether it is an educational thing, something where you are going to shift their limiting belief or maybe you are doing a live Q&A. That is fine. Have a plan and make sure you have your description written out in advance because there will be a little description that goes along with any live video.

With certain live videos, you can also add thumbnails. For Instagram, if you want to add it to your feed after you have gone live and you do, you will have a thumbnail. With Facebook, you can also upload a thumbnail. You want to make sure to have that created in advance. What do you do? Templates. Create four live templates for your thumbnails and rotate through them. The next thing is you want to keep the tasks consistent. What I mean by that is if you are doing any recorded video, maybe it is an Instagram reel, a TikTok or a ten-minute pre-recorded video that you are uploading, record everything at once because it takes time to get out your video recording equipment.

Maybe that is as simple as having a little tripod with your smartphone. Regardless, record it all at once. Do not jump back and forth. Do not record a video, go write the caption and then come back and record another one. Get everything set up. It can be as simple as your smartphone, a tripod and a window for lighting. Record everything at once. If you are doing reels, record everything at once. When you do your writing stuff, do it all at once. You are not switching back and forth because you lose time when you start switching back and forth.

For example, when I record my Instagram reels, I have my lighting setup, my smartphone setup with my tripod and also all the reels that I am going to do. That is as simple as sitting down before recording the reels of scrolling through reels on Instagram and saving the ones that I want to recreate in my niche. None of the reels I create is my idea. I am not that creative. I scroll through other people’s reels. I look at the reels that are doing well. You can hit the three buttons, save it and it will end up in a save folder on your Instagram. I go through, look at those and then recreate them in my niche. It helps if you keep your task at hand consistent.

This is important. If you want to be successful with batching, you have to have a plan and you need to have templates. When you have a plan, you know, “On Monday, Tuesday and Friday, I post this.” Figure that out and create templates for each different post type. The other thing that will help you in this is having a brain dump note or Google Docs.

A lot of times, content ideas come to us when we are not working, maybe when you are out walking or even in the shower. I get a lot of ideas in the shower. As soon as I get out of the shower, I have a notes app and write down my idea so that when I come to create content, I am not sitting there being like, “I do not know what to create.” I can always look at my brain dump folder and get the ideas that came to me throughout the month.

Another thing that you can do as well is in your client appointments. Anytime your client has a question that you think other people would also have that question, you can write that down either by adding it to your brain dump or writing it on to a Post-it and then keeping it for the time when you sit down and write content.

Another way you can make this happen in less time is to hire someone to schedule your content. I am a big fan of not doing everything in your business. There are a lot of things that need to get done in your business. Especially when you are new and have limited time, you want to make sure that your time is best spent on things that move the business forward, which is always going to be sales and marketing.

That is doing podcast interviews, engaging with people in Facebook groups, doing Instagram engagement, doing direct outreach or running workshops, whatever it is to get yourself out there and then inviting people onto a sales call or getting people to your sales page. Those are the most important things because that is what is going to bring the business forward. The smaller tasks you can outsource, the better.

The great thing about hiring someone to schedule your content is it is inexpensive because anyone can do it. You could essentially hire your teenage kid if you got one who wants to pick up a few extra funds or you can go to Upwork.com, which is my favorite hiring platform and find someone somewhere in the world to do that for inexpensive. Think how good it would feel to write all your content, design your templates and then pass it over to someone else to be scheduled. That can save you about two hours every month, which is a lot of time. Instead of scheduling out the content, you can go take a bath, get a massage, go for a walk or have a nap.

It is important to open up as much time in your schedule for those important tasks and also for important things like taking a break. I hope you found this episode valuable. If you did and you want to support me because you love the content that I give away and that it’s free, you can go give me a five-star review on iTunes. If you were on the Apple Podcasts app, if you have an iPhone, you can open that up and scroll to the bottom of where you find my show. There’s a little button where you can give me a review.

If you’re on Android, you won’t be able to access Apple Podcasts but you can open up iTunes on your desktop. Search the show and there’s a little button there where you can give me a review.
