gigs, events, and flights.
At the time, I wasn’t planning anything. I didn’t have a strategy or a roadmap. I was just saying yes to everything, trying to “keep up,” and hoping I’d somehow land in six-figure territory by sheer force of will.
I wasn’t intentionally over-scheduling myself — I just wasn’t planning at all.
I was launching multiple programs, doing speaking engagements, running my business, and also… trying to recover from health issues.
And then the universe hit the brakes for me: COVID shut everything down. Suddenly, all my events and travel got canceled — and I could finally breathe again.
It was one of the most relieving (and revealing) moments of my business.
Because I realized: this isn’t how real entrepreneurs operate.
Real businesses don’t thrive in chaos.
They scale with systems, habits, and intentional focus.
That moment was a huge wake-up call — and it sent me on a mission to figure out: what do the most successful wellness entrepreneurs actually do differently?
The answer? It’s not about luck, a viral reel, or some secret launch strategy.
It’s about habits.
Here are the 7 habits I see again and again in coaches who grow their wellness business to six figures and beyond — without losing their sanity in the process.
1. They Have a Plan
Winging it isn’t a business strategy. It’s a stress response.
High-earning coaches don’t just show up every day and “see what happens.” They plan. They know what they’re launching. They know what they’re promoting. They know what they’re building toward.
That doesn’t mean they have a hyper-rigid content calendar color-coded in Airtable (though if that works for you, go wild).
But it does mean they have structure.
They know what their quarter looks like. They’ve blocked off time for rest. They know when they’re selling and what their content is supporting.
Your business is like a garden. If you don’t plan what you’re planting and when, you’ll either grow weeds… or nothing at all.
2. You Will Be Rejected (Over and Over Again)
This one hurts — but it’s true.
You’re going to pour your heart into a post and get 3 likes.
You’re going to pitch someone you admire and get ignored.
You’re going to do a beautiful sales call… and they’ll say, “I need to think about it,” and never reply.
Rejection is not just part of the process — it is the process.
The only way to avoid rejection is to avoid opportunity. And that’s a fast track to quitting.
Rejection in business is like rain on a hike. You don’t cancel the trip — you bring a raincoat.
It’s easy to make rejection personal:
- “They didn’t reply — I must suck.”
- “They said no — I’m too expensive.”
- “Nobody’s buying — I must not be good at this.”
But most of the time? It’s not about you.
People are distracted. They’re scared. They’re not ready. They’re unsure.
Your job is to keep showing up. Keep refining. Keep inviting.
The “yes” you want might be five rejections deep. But you’ll never get it if you quit at the first “no.”
Every successful coach you follow? They’ve been rejected dozens — if not hundreds — of times. The only difference is they didn’t make it mean anything about their worth.
Learn to expect rejection without internalizing it. Track your “nos” like wins, because they’re proof that you’re in the game.
2. They Set Actionable, Measurable Goals
“I want to sign 3 new clients” is a nice intention. But what’s the plan?
This is where most coaches get stuck — they have goals, but they don’t break them down into doable, trackable actions.
Six-figure coaches set the goal and then reverse engineer it.
Want 3 new clients this month? Awesome.
- How many discovery calls do you need to book?
- How many conversations do you need to start?
- How will you drive traffic to your content?
They create a roadmap to make the goal happen.
And here’s the real magic: they celebrate the steps along the way.
Not just the “I hit $10K this month” moment — but the, “I followed through on my content plan,” or “I had three solid DM convos today.”
Because those are the moments that build your momentum.
3. They Know Their Numbers (Without Getting Weird About It)
Six-figure coaches don’t avoid their numbers — even when they’re not what they want them to be.
They know:
- What’s coming in (revenue)
- What’s going out (expenses)
- Where their leads are coming from
- How their content is performing
- Their conversion rates
And most importantly — they don’t make those numbers mean something about them.
Your numbers are not your worth. They are just data.
Think of your numbers like your GPS. If you take a wrong turn, it doesn’t scream, “You suck!” — it just reroutes you.
Same thing with your metrics.
4. They Sell Every Day (Directly & Indirectly)
This is a big one.
The coaches I see growing consistently — not just one lucky launch — are selling daily.
That doesn’t mean they’re pitching hard 24/7. But they’re constantly creating awareness about their offer.
Sometimes that’s direct selling:
- Talking about their program
- Posting a call-to-action
- Inviting someone into a DM convo
Sometimes it’s indirect:
- Sharing a student win
- Teaching a lesson and casually mentioning “In HCA we cover this in week 4…”
- Answering a FAQ about their offer in Stories
The point is: their program is always in the room. Always in the conversation.
If people don’t know what you offer or how to work with you… they can’t buy.
5. They Embrace Problems
Here’s the truth no one talks about: business is a daily practice of solving problems.
The tech will break. A client will ghost. Something will flop. You’ll get a troll in your DMs.
Six-figure entrepreneurs don’t spiral every time something goes sideways — because they expect problems. And they get better and faster at solving them.
Think of it like training your nervous system to handle more and more without collapsing.
This doesn’t mean you’re always calm or never frustrated. It means you’re resilient.
You stop seeing problems as proof that you’re doing something wrong… and start seeing them as part of the job.
Because they are.
6. They Celebrate the Small Wins
If the only thing you celebrate is a $10K launch, you’ll spend 95% of your business journey feeling like a failure.
High-earning coaches celebrate everything.
- First time someone said “I’ve been loving your content.”
- Finally figuring out how to automate their emails.
- Sticking to their content plan for two weeks straight.
These aren’t small things. They’re stacking bricks for your future results.
You want more momentum? Reward the actions that create it.
7. They Ask for Help (and They Delegate Early)
This one took me forever to learn.
You are not supposed to be good at everything in your business.
The Canva graphics, the tech setup, the Zapier automations, the website backend — all that stuff? It’s not where your genius lies.
And if it takes you 6 hours to do something that someone else could do in 30 minutes… that’s not scrappy. That’s sabotage.
The most successful coaches get support before they feel “ready.”
They hire a tech VA. They outsource content repurposing. They automate the repetitive tasks. They buy back their time.
Because time is expensive. And your energy is your most valuable currency.
