5 Steps to Your First 5K Month as a Wellness Practitioner

5 Steps to Your First $5K Month as a Holistic Wellness Coach (Without Selling Your Soul)

Let’s be honest. Everyone and their cat is out here screaming about “6-figure months” and “7-figure businesses.”
But if you’re over here struggling to even break $3K per month, hearing about $100K months feels about as realistic as running into Ryan Reynolds at your local grocery store.

So let’s cut the crap and talk about a goal that actually feels doable — your first $5K month.
Because once you hit that milestone, everything changes.
You can finally breathe. You can stop stressing about how the hell you’re going to pay your bills. And you can invest back into your biz without wondering if you should’ve spent that money on groceries instead.

In this post, I’m giving you the exact 5 steps to get you to your first $5K month as a health & wellness coach. No fluff. No B.S. Just real talk and actionable steps.

Why Your First $5K Month Matters

Before we dive in, let’s get one thing clear:
That first $5K month is a game-changer.
It’s the moment you stop hustling paycheck to paycheck and start building an actual, sustainable, profitable business.

So how do you get there? Let’s break it down.

Step 1: Nail Your Niche (For the Love of Gourd, Please)

If you skip this step, you’re basically trying to sell tofu to a bunch of carnivores.
You cannot help “everyone” and make money online.
You need to choose a specific group of people with a specific problem you can solve.

Not some vague “I help women feel better in their bodies” fluff. Your niche needs to be so specific it hurts.
Example: “I help postpartum moms heal their gut and fix their fatigue.”

And once you choose your niche?
You’ve gotta do market research.
No, not filling out a fluffy ICA worksheet about a made-up person.
I mean talking to real humans. Getting in their heads. Understanding their struggles, desires, and the exact words they use.

Because when you know what’s keeping your people up at night (chronic diarrhea, anxiety, hair falling out in clumps…), you can speak to it in your content and offers.

👉 Action Step:
Do at least 10 market research interviews with people in your niche. No pitching, no selling — just conversations.

Step 2: Know Your Voice & Brand Identity

Your voice is your secret weapon.
Let’s be real — there are a million health coaches online.
But there’s only ONE you.

Your personality, your quirks, your weird-ass sense of humor… THAT’S what will make people choose you over someone else.

People follow me because, yeah, I teach solid business strategy — but they also like my swearing, blunt truth bombs, and inappropriate analogies.

Your vibe attracts your tribe.
And when you show up unapologetically as yourself, you eliminate the competition because no one can be YOU.

👉 Action Step:
Start showing up as your damn self online.
Lean into your personality. Develop your voice. And if you’re confused about what that even means, go watch my video on developing your brand identity (linked in the description of the original video).

Step 3: Create an Irresistible Signature Program

If you don’t have something solid to sell, why are you even on Instagram every day?
You need a signature program — an offer that’s clear, outcome-driven, and solves a real problem for your niche.

No more selling random 1:1 sessions. That’s the fastest way to burn out and stay broke.

A signature program packages your expertise into a juicy, binge-worthy experience that people want to pay for — and stick around for.

Example: My signature offer is Health Coach Accelerator, where I teach health & wellness coaches how to build, launch, and sell their own group coaching program.

👉 Action Step:
Map out your signature program.
Think: What’s the problem I solve? What’s the transformation? How can I deliver it in a clear, structured way?

Step 4: Be Consistent AF with Your Content

Here’s the boring, unsexy truth no one wants to hear:
If you’re not consistently showing up online, you will not build a business. Period.

Content is how your audience gets to know you, trust you, and decide to buy from you.
But most new coaches post when they “feel inspired” and then disappear for three weeks when life gets busy.

That’s why you’re stuck.

Your content should be like your morning coffee — reliable, consistent, and showing up whether you’re in the mood or not.

👉 Action Step:
Pick 1-2 platforms and commit to posting consistently for at least 6-12 months. Even when it feels like no one’s watching. Especially then.

Step 5: Blow Their Damn Minds with Customer Experience

Getting the client isn’t the finish line — it’s the starting line.
Most coaches obsess over finding new clients but completely forget to focus on the people who’ve already said YES.

You want clients raving about you, referring their friends, and coming back to buy from you again and again.

How do you do that?
→ Deliver a mind-blowing experience
→ Make sure onboarding is smooth
→ Communicate clearly and consistently
→ Support them like a badass coach who actually gives a shit

Also, think about their next step.
Once they finish your program, what’s next?
A membership, ongoing support, a higher-level offer? Always have something else to offer your raving fans.

👉 Action Step:
Audit your current client experience and find 2-3 ways to make it better.
Add a welcome email, check in more often, improve your onboarding — whatever makes your people feel like VIPs.
