TWCK 104 | Impactful Program

One of the main reasons people don’t achieve their personal and professional goals is that they aren’t aware of the key concepts that could help them transform people’s lives and get more clients. Do you think you have what it takes to succeed in your chosen business venture? In today’s episode, we’re going to dive into the key elements of a deeply impactful and profitable program that would lead you to success. There are four non-negotiable pieces of a program that you will sell to your audience or customers to make it successful and transformational.

Key Elements Of A Deeply Impactful Program

We’re going to have a quick episode where I’m going to tell you the elements of a profitable program. This can be applied to essentially any program that you’ve run, whether it’s one-on-one, a group program, or even a course. It’s because even courses will do a lot better if they have these elements. A big problem with courses is that they are missing 2 out of 4 of the elements that I am about to share with you. Let’s do it. There’s no BS. Let’s jump right into it.

I consider there to be four non-negotiable pieces of a program that you are going to sell to your audience to make it profitable, successful, but also transformational because we want the program to make you money, but we also want it to get the result for the person who is completing it. Transformation is important. If you can’t get people a transformation, then you’re going to have a hard time getting testimonials and social proof and feel like crap. A lot of people aren’t going to want to sign up for your program if you are not getting people the result that you offer.

Education

The first element of a profitable program is education. Education is essentially the thing that they need to know that they don’t currently know that’s going to help them move towards a result. There’s always a re-education that is involved in getting someone the transformation. Keep in mind, you are not educating another health coach. This is where I see a lot of people go wrong. You went to school to be a health coach or some type of other health and wellness coach, so you have a lot of knowledge in that.

You’re excited about that information, but your job isn’t to take everything that you learned in your certification program and then teach the same stuff to your client because that’s going to be way too advanced for them. It’s also way more information than they need to know. They don’t want to be a health coach. They’re not passionate about health and wellness. They wouldn’t even care about it had they not ended up with this problem that is making them seek help.

Your job is to only teach them what they need to know and dumb it down in a way that they can understand. You’re not teaching someone who has the same level of education as you. You’re teaching someone who virtually has no education. You need to make it relevant and simple. That’s the educational piece. It’s the thing that they need to know to get the result.

In courses, a lot of people stop at the educational piece. They tell people the education that they need to know, but education does not yield transformation. The reason we know this is because there’s so much stuff online. We are in the age of Google, the most powerful search engine that man has ever known at their fingertips. You can essentially find almost anything that you need to know. Education and information or lack thereof is not the thing that is preventing people from getting the result that they want. It is a part of it and you need to reeducate them and give them the education they need so they know why they’re doing a certain thing or how to do it. That’s 1 of 4. That is 25%.

Support

The next piece is the support. Support is your coaching or the way that you support them, offer them recommendations, help them troubleshoot, and give them modifications. That’s support and support is going to happen in a program. If we’re talking about one-on-one, it’s going to happen both in and out of session. On the coaching calls you have, there will be support, but you also want to offer a way to support them outside of the calls. This is also going to be true for a group coaching program or any live course.

Impactful Program: Transformation is really important. If you can’t get people, then you’re going to have a hard time getting testimonials and social proof.

You want to give people the opportunity to ask questions if they don’t understand something or get modifications if something is a little bit complicated with their lifestyle. That’s important. This is also another thing. If we’re talking about courses, that often lacks. Typically, courses are educational only. They only offer education and there’s no support. Maybe the maximum amount of support would be, for example, a Facebook group. Some courses and many courses don’t even offer that.

A Facebook group is not always the best way to support people. Typing something out is less engaging and harder to understand than if you spoke and if you spoke back and forth with someone. The support needs to happen if we’re talking about a profitable program but also a transformational program. When we’re talking about any live program, I always recommend that you support in session or on a coaching call and then a way for people to get support out of session as well. If we’re talking about a group program, maybe that’s Facebook. If we’re talking about one-on-one, maybe that’s tech support, email support, or something like that. That’s number two.

Accountability

Number three is accountability. This is huge. It’s the primary reason why people don’t succeed in achieving their goals, not just with health but with almost anything. You might be experiencing this in your business because you know I hold you accountable. Accountability is key. When people don’t have someone or something to keep them accountable, they often fall off the tracks, give up, fall off the wagon, or get distracted and don’t come back.

Accountability is important. It’s much easier to work accountability into a one-on-one program than it is to a group program or an online course. It can be a little bit trickier. It would be a little bit easier in a group program if you were doing a hybrid model, meaning that you were offering one-on-one and group. It could be a little bit easier to work in accountability. This is important. If you can hold people accountable, hold them to their commitments, goals, and what they say they’re going to do. That is going to help move them towards a goal or a result.

If we’re talking about a one-on-one program, maybe that is you send them a check-in call or check-in email every Friday or something like that. Maybe you call them or they fill out a journal entry, a quiz, an assessment, or something like that which shows them that they have done the work and they’re doing the thing. Inside a group coaching program, you could do this. If you’re doing a hybrid, it could be a similar thing where you check-in. If it’s not a hybrid and you are doing a low-touch or mid-touch group program, maybe you do the accountability in a Facebook group.

Something that I am working into Health Coach Accelerator is we send out an accountability post in the Facebook group on Mondays and people can write down what they’re working on that week. I have Jess, who’s the new coach inside the program. She’s going to follow up with them on Wednesday and check in with them, “How’s it going? Where are you at? Do you have questions? Do you need support?” She will follow up with them on Friday to see if they finished, and if not, how can we help them and support them to finish? It’s a little bit trickier to build accountability into a program like that when you don’t have one-on-one coaching, but it is possible. That’s something that I am testing and I will keep you posted. That’s number three.

Resources

The final part of a profitable and transformational program is resources. Resources should be intentional. Sometimes I see people giving cheat sheets when they don’t need cheat sheets. What can you offer your client, student, member, or whatever you’re calling them to help them with implementation? Is that a meal plan, a shopping list, a list of foods they need to avoid, or some calorie counter calculator? Depending on what your niche is, if there is something that you can offer someone to make their life easier, then that is an important part of a program.

TWCK 104 | Impactful Program
Impactful Program: Accountability is key. And when people don’t have someone or something to keep them accountable, they often fall off the tracks. They get distracted and they don’t come back.

For example, in Module 8 of Health Coach Accelerator, we talk about collaborations, which is essentially becoming your own PR agent and pitching yourself to online summits, podcasts, guest blogging, social media, collaborations, and all these different ways that you can collaborate with others and get in front of new audiences that you would not otherwise have access to. That’s great. I can give you the education on all the things you should pitch, but when you come to pitching, you’re going to wonder, “What do I say when I pitch?”

What I’ve done to make your life easier is create a pitch script resource. I have pitch scripts for podcasts, guest blogging, social media collaborations, workshops, and that sort of thing. All you have to do is copy and paste it into an email and then customize it to your business, niche, and whatever other personal pieces you want to add. That’s the resource piece because I could sit here and tell you to go pitch podcasts. That’s a valuable piece of information and I hope you will go out and start pitching podcasts.

Where you’re going to get tripped up is knowing what you should be writing in the pitch scripts. The result of that may be that people don’t get back to you. You never hear back and you don’t end up getting any guest opportunities. If you come to the program, not only are you going to get the education on how to pitch podcasts, but you are also going to get the scripts so that you can pitch and have a higher chance of getting a response from the podcast hosts. Resources are also important.

Let’s quickly summarize that. The elements of a profitable and transformational program are 1) Education, 2) Support, 3) Accountability, and 4) Resources. You might be wondering, “I get it, but what do I put in the program? How do I structure it? What if I’m running lab tests? What should education be? How do I set this up? How do I deliver that?” If you have any of these questions, I am excited to invite you to my three-day event, Craft Your Signature Offer Challenge.

In these three days, and it’s free, we’re going to go through exactly what your program should be about. If you’re wondering, “What should I even make my program on? I don’t know what topics to cover,” I’m going to tell you and show you how to structure your program, how to set it up, what to include in it, and how to format it for client success. We’re going to talk about how to price it, how to name it, and how to brand it. That’s going to happen over three days.

Anyone who joins the challenge will have the opportunity to win a juicy grand prize, which will be a scholarship into Health Coach Accelerator, my signature program, which helps you generate $10,000 per month consistently in your coaching business. You can win $300 cash and a one-hour coaching session with me, which is incredibly invaluable because I don’t offer that at all. I haven’t offered private coaching in years.

You will get the opportunity to win that. If you want to sign up for the challenge, you can go to bit.ly/SignatureOfferChallenge. It’s free. It happens on February 15th, 2022. It’s going to be a lot of fun. By the end of that challenge, you will have your signature offer built and ready to sell. I hope you will join me. I hope you enjoyed this episode. I will see you again, same time and place where I help you become wealthy AF.
